Knowledge of the Parts and Functions of the Respiratory System After completion of activities student did not have an understanding of the system as evidenced in the lack of notes taken, and little or no correct answers in the cloze/crossword. After completion of the activities, student had a good understanding of the system, but could have had more thorough notes and answers included in the close/crossword. After completion of the activities, student had a strong understanding of the system as evidenced in the thorough note taking and completion of cloze/crossword After completion of activities, student had a strong understanding of the system as evidenced in the thorough note taking and completion of cloze/crossword. Student also went beyond and completed independent activities on the websites.
Creation of Clay Model or Personal Narrative Clay model/Personal Narrative was not completed at all. Clay Model/Personal Narrative was partially completed, but there were some important components were missing (ie.The narrative was not in the first person; the model was only partially completed. Clay Model/Personal Narrative was completed and well executed. The Clay Model looked realistic/Personal Narrative was in the 1st person and discussed all the parts of the respiratory system. Clay Model/Personal Narrative was completed and more that well executed. Student took care and time to make the model look as realistic as possible.  The Narrative was in the 1st person, followed the parts of the respiratory system and was extremely creative.
Creation of Anti Smoking/Air Pollution brochure or poster Brochure/Poster was not completed at all.  Brochure/Poster was completed, but there was not enough information or visuals. Brochure/Poster was completed well.  Student used pertinent information from the website and sufficient visuals. Brochure/Poster was completed quite well.  Student not only used pertinent information but did so creatively.  There were ample visuals to support the written information.
Student's ability to work as a team member Student did not work as a team player/or is only beginning to work towards working in a pair.  The student left most of the work for the other student. Student was beginning to learn how to work as a team player, but at times was seen to leave a lot of the more difficult work for the other student.. Student was a team player.  They were able to do their share of the work and complete the assignments in a timely fashion. Student was a strong team member who not only did their share and completed assignments on time, but served as a peer mentor and leader when necessary.
