Introduction

Holidays are key features on the cultural landscape of the United States. Every year, millions of people in the United States take part in celebrating various holidays from various seasons. Two of the most popular or commonly known holidays in the United States are Halloween and Memorial Day. However, have you ever heard of celebrating the Day of the Dead? The Day of the Dead is often celebrated in parts of the United States such as California, Texas, and other areas where Mexican American heritage exists.
