Process

Process

Day One: You will be in groups of 3-4. You need:

A Recorder: finds and writes down recipe

2 Chart Makers: organizes chart for Susie

Recipe Card Maker: makes the final recipe card for Susie (Recorder can fill this position if your are in a group of 3)

**Everyone will work together on making the recipe fit the order (the fractions/math!)**

After you have assigned a part to each person in your group you must complete a task to pick a cake order to fill.

Your task: Fresh Baked Fractions  After you get 10 correct answers on the 'Medium' level, print out the page and take it to your teacher so you can pick a cake order to fill.

Day Two: Now that you have your cake order to fill, you will use one of the cake links below to find your cake. Once your group finds the recipe, write down the ingredients for the cake. If your cake has ingredients for frosting, be sure to list those as well!

After you have the list of ingredients, start working on your chart. List the ingredients and the amounts for just one cake. *Chart Example shown below

Day Three: You were given a cake order to fill, so now your group has to find out how much of each ingredient Susie would need for 2 cakes, 3 cakes, and so on until the order is filled. Then, your group can finish your chart and make Susie's recipe card.

Day Four: Lastly, your group will present to the class the order you chose, your chart, and how you worked through the problem.

**If we can get Susie's recipe box back together in time, our class will be rewarded with a cake of our own!**
