Teacher Process
This project should take three to four weeks, depending on what other work students have. It is important that you provide a list of due dates for each component and that you meet with each group, as needed.
Follow these step-by-step directions to complete this webquest. Make sure to have each component completed by the due date, given separately.
- Bring in or have students bring in any kinds of cultural artifacts related to their site destinations.
- Visit a museum or contact a guest speaker to visit your class.
- Bring in children's books and music relating to the culture variances.
- Have students demonstrate an understanding of the relationship between the practices and perspectives of the culture studied.
- Have students demonstrate an understanding of the relationship between the products and perspectives of the culture studied.
- Have students reinforce and further their knowledge of other disciplines through the foreign language.
- Have students acquire information and recognize the distinctive viewpoints that are only available through the foreign language and its culture.
- Have students demonstrate understanding of the concept of culture through comparisons of the culture studied and their own.
