In this WebQuest you will be building some background knowledge before you start reading To Kill a Mockingbird.  This will be a partner project.  You will do research about the 1930's, the time period the book is set in, and the major events and happenings that occurred during that time period.  You and your partner will need to become experts on your topic.  You will then compile your research and create a study guide of your findings.  Each partner will be assigned and fulfill a different role within the group.  The students will need to use their collaboration skills to work together and create a guide that will give them the best background knowledge about the time before they begin reading the book.  You will be responsible for teaching your classmates about your topic in a short oral presentation.
