Students will become individuals involved in the Underground Railroad (slaves, slave owners, conductors, Northerners) and will come together and discuss this important historical event.

Teacher Introduction

This Web Quest is an excellent way to get students excited about the Underground Railroad.  Instead of merely reading about it, they will become a part of it by becoming various characters.  This Web Quest incorporates the language arts as well as social studies into a fun, week long unit for fourth grade students.  Use this Web Quest to challenge your students as they learn about the Underground Railroad.
