Teacher Process

Start by discussing what technology is: Where art meets science.  Can make analogies of various technological innovations we use everyday: ipods, microwave ovens, internet, etc.  It's interesting to students to point out that technology doesn't have to be electric.  I.e. in 1832 the saxophone was a technological innovation.

The work outlined in this class could occupy several 80-minute periods.  The students should spend time in class doing the research so they can ask the teacher for clarification on any foreign concepts.  Some of the terms they may encounter can get fairly technical.
