Process

Step One of this assignment is to go to http://www.mypyramid.gov/ 

When you are at the main page you will need to go to the interactive tools on the left hand side of the page and choose MyPyramid Plan. Here you will explore your own personal food pyramid. You will need to print out your personal food pyramid that is located on the right hand side of your personal food pyramid page. For the next week you will keep a food journal as you follow your personal pyramid plan.

 

Step two of this assignment is to go back to the MyPyramid.gov website. Here you will go to the multimedia section and listen to 5 podcast. This will help give you a knowledge of what is in the MyPyramid. For the next week you will input your results from your food journal into the Menu planner located in the interactive tools. Here you will gain the knowledge on what you need to do to become a healthier person. The last piece for step two is to write in your journal about how you are doing with your personal pyramid. (What did you do well, What might you need to work on, Did you follow your plan?)

Step three: You will be writing a 3-5 page reflection on your personal MyPyramid. Your reflection will be turned in with your Personal Pyramid Portfolio.
