A WebQuest to guide students through a Social Studies Fair project. Students will work in groups to research and present on an ancient civilization.

Teacher Introduction

Students learn the most when they are excited about the topic and having fun.  This Social Studies Fair engages students in cooperative and individual learning and gets them excited about expanding their knowledge on a civilization from the year's study.  A Social Studies Fair is an excellent project to bring the school year to an end!  Not only can students demonstrate the learning they have made through the year, but they get to "show off" for their families if an Open House is scheduled.  

In addition to being a great project to complete in Social Studies, it can modified into a cross-curricular project, incorporating every subject area!
