Teacher Introduction
School uniforms has been a hot topic in the local area recently. Students are very adamant about their rights to dress as they please, and are sometimes vocal about their objections to current school dress codes. Using the students' interests and passion as a driving force, this web quest allows them to see both sides of the issue and develop their own school uniform while trying to appease advocates both for and against uniforms.
In addition to researching, students are strengthening their persuasive skills, evaluating resources, choosing their presentation material while keeping the audience in mind, and working on cooperative learning skills. Students have the opportunity to take on leadership roles in the group work, being the "expert" for a certain stance and by being in charge of a certain aspect of the final product.
