Teacher Process

1.   Use your own discretion as to which countries you approve for students.  Depending on what you will be doing later in class or what you would like to stress you can pick the appropriate countries for your classroom.

2.   I suggest assigning groups rather than allowing students to pick their own.  This way, you can place students with other students based on their strengths or weaknesses.  You can also place students in the most efficient and challenging groups for them, making them stretch their mental muscles rather than just relying on others.

3.   As the students begin their research have them write a few questions about what they want to learn while researching.  This will help them stay focused and also give them an outline to use later when putting all of their research together.

4.  Again, depending on where you want to go after this WebQuest you can limit or expand the possibilities for the final products.  You could also require all student to do the same kind of final product if you would like more uniformity but I feel giving them options allows each group to play on their strengths and put their best product foward.

5.   You could also lenghten the presentation if you want to focus more on oral skills or you could cut it all together.  It is easy to adapt this WebQuest to any classroom with any set of students and any skill focus.
