Process
These steps will help guide you while you complete the webquest.
1. After you have gotten into your groups you will be assigned an area of the world from the following list. From this general area your group needs to choose one country to research and present on. You must submit your country to Ms. Seekford for approval before you move on and begin researching.

- North Africa and Southwest Asia
- Sub-Saharan Africa
- Russia and Central Asia
- South Asia
- Southeast Asia
- East Asia
- Australia and the Pacific Islands
- South America
2. After you have chosen your country split up the research topics within your group. Each group will be required to gather information about the cuisine, government, cultural practices, and sports/entertaiment of your selected country. You may choose to work on all four topics as a group but for time purposes I suggest you split up the topics.
3. After you get your country approved and split up the research topics use the following websites to do your research. You will have 2 days in class to do your research for this project to plan accordingly. Websites to use:
- Wolfram Alpha-You only need to type in the name of your country.
- Wikipedia
- BBC News
- Country Reports - See Ms. Seekford for sign-in information.
- World FactBook
4. After you have completed your research your group needs to decide on a way to present this information. A few suggestions I have are a Power Point presention, a brochure, a scrapbook(including text), a newspaper, or a newscast. These are presentation methods that I know work well and make incorporating all of your research quite easy. If you would like to use a different method to present your information you must get permission from Ms. Seekford. You will have 3 days in class to put together your presentation.
5. All groups will present their country and information they have found in class. The in-class presentations will only be a short presentation to give us an overview of your country. The presentation only needs to be 2-3 minutes. Your final product must be much more in-depth and involved than your actual presentation.
