Junior Advisor to Secretary of Defense,

I must commend you on a job well done.  The Whitehouse was very impressed by your

presentation and they are implementing some of the lessons that you found in history to

their own plan of action for our nation.  I see great promise for you in studying

international relations and just war policy.  Hopefully, next time you present something

like this to the Whitehouse it will not be after such a tragic incident as befell us on

September 11.  Do not forget to continue to learn more about the reasons and rational

for military action to be pursued and never forget the lessons that can be learned from

making tragic mistakes in international relations.  If you keep these lessons in mind you

could become a great statesman someday.

Secretary of State,

Colin Powell
