Students will learn about the history of the Pythagorean Theorem, Practice the application, Use the Theorem to prove a right triangle, and Understand how the Pythagorean Theorem can be applied everyday.
Teacher Introduction
Students learn many formulas and equations throughout their educational careers. Often these mathematical ideas are forgotten or mixed up. Even more often students are not aware of the importance of the mathematics they are being taught and how it applies to their daily lives.
The webquest I have created is intended for students to lean how to use the Pythagorean Theorem while investigating its history and practical applications.
My hope is that this webquest will leave students with a lasting conceptual knowledge of the Pythagorean Theorem
