Task
Let's think for a moment about the word fairness. To me, fairness means we treat everyone equally. Do you think it would be fair not to hear both sides of a story? Can we make a decision about someone based on what another person has told us? That would not be fair at all!
Since all of us in this class would like to be treated with fairness, we are going to help out some characters of traditional fairy tales who have not been given a chance to tell their side of the story. You will write a "Fractured Fairy Tale" from the point of view of the "villain" or "bad guy" (or "gal") in the story. Give these characters a voice! It is up to you to help them to tell their stories!
Now before we help these characters out, we need to learn a little bit about point of view and the elements of a story...Let's go!
