In this webquest, students will explore the ideas of perspective and elements of a story in writing through a closer look at a fractured fairy tale. Students will explore these concepts and be asked to collaboratively write their own fractured fairy tales.
Introduction
We have all heard the story of the Three Little Pigs. In this classic tale, the poor little pigs are viciously preyed upon by the Big, Bad WOLF! Have you ever stopped to think that maybe there was another side to that story? Maybe if we heard the story from another point of view, say, the wolf's, it would turn out a little differently? Well today we are going to do just that. We are going to hear the story from the wolf's perspective, that is, the wolf will be narrating the story.
After hearing the "real story", we'll learn a little bit about the different parts of a story. Finally, we will bring it all together and create our own "Fractured Fairy Tales"!
