Task
Each group will have their own travel agency. You are to plan a 12 day tour of India for a family of 4. You have a budget of $4000.
- Name your travel agency and create a ad
- Create a brochure for India
- Determine what each person in the family wants to experience the most about India. (food, culture etc...)
You will need to provide the following for each person in the family with the given budget:
- Round-trip airfare from the local airport to New Delhi
- Transportation around India (bus, car, plane, boat)
- Hotel accommodations (do not stay in one place for the fact that not everything will not be within driving range of one hotel)
- Sight seeing tours- name and description of companies (what do they offer?)
- 7 meals (at least 2 dinners)
You will need to make a day by day schedule (day, places visited, travel times). The first day starts at the airport. You will need to figure out how long it takes to get to India from your local airport. From this you will also figure what day you need to leave in order for the trip to be only 12 days.
Remember to plan the vacation when there is good weather! India has a monsoon season and you clients would be upset if it rained the entire trip. Also, make sure you plan some nature sight seeing tours.
