Teacher Process
Students will break up into 4 groups. Each group will be assigned an inventor. The inventors will be Cornelius Vanderbilt, Thomas Edison, George Eastman, Lewis Latimer, and Willis Carrier. The students will search these inventors online using an online encyclopedia to find information out about them. The information that the students will look up are when the inventor was born, what their inventor invented, how their invention worked, how their invention helped people, when their inventor died, additional information about their inventor's childhood/education, and several interesting facts about their inventor. The students will also find a picture of their inventor and a picture of their invention. Lastly, the students will create a poster composed of all this information about their inventor to present to their classmates in small groups.
