Process
1. With your partner, read and research the information on the characters provided in the links below. Scroll down to find the name of your person and click on the different links to learn more about that person.
2. As you are reading you may come across some words you are unfamiliar with. That is ok! We suggest that each person in you group make a list of at least 6-10 words. Find and write down the definition of these words either online of using the classroom dictionaries. Also write down the sentence in which you found that word in your reading.
3. Each partner should also write down notes about their character. Some things you might want to include are: Their early life before the war, battles they were in during the revolution, and of course what they did after the revolution, but only if they survived the revolution!
4. Now you are ready to write your letter! Compare notes with your partner and decide what you want to write. Each person will write one page of the letter each.Make sure in your part of the letter you write different things about the person's life than your partner. For example one person may write about the early life and another person will write about the battles he/she was in.
5. After you finished writing your letter, you will present your character to the class by sharing with the class some interesting things that you found about your character.
IMPORTANT! You should not be copying and pasting into a word document.
