The Harlem Renaissance WebQuest has been designed for  9-12 grade English classes and it involves interdisciplinary studies as well.  The breadth of this WebQuest allows for differenciated instruction to accomodate diverse learners in the classroom.  This WebQuest would serve as an enrichment activity for students, as they will be using prior and new knowledge to create their projects.
WebQuests are a wonderful way to assign projects because they are authentic, increase motivation, require higher order thinking skills, and incorporate cooperative learning.
