This WebQuest explores the music, art, and literature of the Harlem Renaissance, in an effort to give students a broader understanding of how the arts were interconnected in themes and ideas during this time. Students will use the knowledge from various web resources, in order to create their own Video Podcast of the Harlem Renaissance.

Teacher Introduction

This WebQuest is based on the Harlem Renaissance and is appropriate for grades 9-12.  Students use the power of teamwork to become an expert on some aspect of Harlem Renaissance and then come together at the end to share and get a better understanding of the topic as a whole.
 The goal of the activity is to promote student understanding of the movement and the interconnectedness of the arts through the creation of a Video Podcast.
