Task
You will be in the groups assigned at the beginning of the year. Within your group you will divide up to take on different roles which are listed in the process section. Your group will play two important roles today.
The first role will be to act as a group of Investors who wish to strike it providing capital towards the next alternative fuel source which will be sold to communities and individuals across the world for use in transportation.
A a group of investors you will be evaluating scientist which your assistants have called on to recommend their alternative fuel sources. This part of the role will be played during the time when you are not presenting.
Your next, and most important role (The one you will be graded on), will be as the group of scientists who have developed the alternative fuel sources in order to power the future of transportation. You will have to create a presentation for the investors that contains research and examples of your fuel source.
The task: Sustainable transportation must be considered not just from the stand point of the fuel source; it's emissions and sustainable characteristics, but also from the consideration of the infrastructure involved in making it available for potential customers. You must take into account:
-Where this fuel comes from and whether it is finite
-The fuel source and what kinds of emissions are created by using or burning
-The infrasrtucture in order to make this fuel available
-Price per gallon of this fuel source
-This fuels relationship to the Conservation of Energy
