Process
Step 1: Get into groups of three and wait for your teacher to give you four homophones.
Step 2: But wait! Do you know what your homophones mean?
- Look up your words using Yahoo! Kids Dictionary or your classroom dictionary.
Step 3: Brainstorm! Put your ideas together.
- Open Kidspiration and create a web of ideas for your comic strip.
- How can you use all of your words in one story?
Step 4: Now you're ready to begin creating your comic strip.
- Using your idea web, put your story together into six comic strip frames.
- Everyone should look over the work once you think you're done.
Step 5: Now it's time to choose roles. You'll each need to choose one of the following roles:
- Author: Is in charge of making sure there are no writing errors.
- Illustrator: Is in charge of making sure the images match the story line.
- Editor: Is in charge of making sure everyone is on task and that everything is complete.
*Remember that working well together and using everyone's ideas is important!*
Step 6: Create your comic online.
- Go to The Comic Creator to bring your comic to life.
- Don't forget to print!
