The webquest will guide the students to learn about the Endocrine System, its structure & function. Also about the different glands and the hormones they produce and their respective target organs. By the end they should also know about the different conditions as a result of any of the glands malfunctioning.
Teacher Introduction
When I first read and found out about web quests I found them exiting and interesting. I thought, wow this looks like a fun way to give my students an assignment. I got excited and could not wait till I made one that I could use in one of my lessons. Then I started to create one and I got overwhelmed and confused. After learning how other students in the class reacted I realized I was not alone in the confusion. But I kept playing with it and trying different ideas, and when I least expected ...I had started one and then there was no stopping me until I was done. I honestly recommend any teacher from any grade to just give a chance, play a little with it and you will enjoyed creating one as much as I did. This is a great tool for us teachers to get the students engaged in learning!
