Teacher Process

Prior to starting this webquest, please ensure the following tasks are completed:

  1. Copy the state report packet for each student or team of students.
  2. Locate state information books and encyclopedias if desired.
  3. Review the State Report Packet with students.  Explain what types of sites and locations would qualify for each category.
  4. Review basic technological techniques required in Microsoft Publisher.
  5. If you choose to allow students to use photos from the State Tourism Websites, review copyright laws and how to appropriately credit photos.
  6. Discuss with the students the hazards of clicking on pop-ups and advertisements on the websites.
  7. Discuss plagerism with students to ensure they do not simply copy off the websites.
