Task
As you travel along your musical journey, you will want to pay special attention to the music that you are asked to listen to. You don't need to pay special attention to the words or the beat like you normally do. On this journey, you will need to listen to the way the music makes you feel inside, what emotions each song makes you feel. Listen to what the music makes you think about as well.
You will write about your thoughts and feelings at every song stop you make along the way. After you have listened to all of the songs and filled out your musical travel sheet, you will then need to choose one of the songs that made you feel the best, or made you think wonderful thoughts. You will need to be extra careful when choosing your song because, you don't want to make a wrong turn on your journey. Be careful!!
After choosing your travel song, you will then take a detour on your journey. This detour is very important, since it will help you learn about the composer (the person who wrote the music). It will be your job to get as many important facts and information about the composer. That way, you can help others travel safely on their musical journeys as well.
The next stop on your journey will be the most exciting of all. On this part of the trip, you will get to be very, very creative and inventive. Here you will create a way to show others how the music that you chose as your favorite, made you feel inside or what it made you think about.
At your final destination, you will get to show your fellow travelers your souvenirs. You can unpack your suitcases, and tell about the composer who wrote your chosen song. You will also show everyone what creation you came up with, that represents your most favorite traveling tune.
