Standards

Standard 4 (Listening): The student will listen to, analyze, and describe music.

Objective 2: Perceive and respond to messages in music and the use of music elements.

   b. Describe what the music makes one think about or what it is saying to them personally.

   g. Determine how various timbres are used in music to express ideas, feelings, story lines, etc. 

The thinking and communication skills that are also encouraged by this lesson are: creative production, comparison, critical thinking, analysis, teamwork, and compromise.
