This webquest is a project intended to inspire students to use persuasive writing. Students will begin by examining real life persuasive writing texts. Then, students will choose a topic of interest and write a persuasive essay.
Introduction
Have you ever wondered why it is that some people know how to get what they want while others just wait and wait, not knowing what to say or do? Have you ever failed miserably at trying to persuade a friend or family member of something that was important to you?
What if I told you that the difference between an unsuccessful attempt at persuasion and a successful one is simple? What if I told you that LANGUAGE ARTS CLASS was the ticket to acquiring ALL that you desire? OK, that might be a slight stretch of the imagination; however, this lesson on persuasive writing might just give you the edge you need to influence people and get the things you want.
