Teacher Process

This WebQuest was designed for a team of 3 first grade students, although it could be adapted for more or less students. The teacher will play a larger role in administering the web quest with the groups of learners in the lower grades. If an aide or parent volunteers are available, they could offer assistance when needed. While every effort had been made to keep the readability level at an emergent context, problems most likely will occur at this level. The teacher should identify the children who have strong computer skills to be the"tracker", a strong reader should be given the role of "reader" and the "gatherer" role should be given to the remaining student.

This WebQuest was written in three sections, which should be worked on through several days time . The first section the student will compile facts. The second section the students will take that information they have learned and design an informational poster. The last section the students will take the information and synthesize it so they will able to make an informed decision to select a new reindeer for Santa.

A student rubric is included on the student page.
