We will be studying the feelings of the character Chrysanthemum and how it feels to be picked on. The students will also develop an understanding of their own name and describe themselves.

Teacher Introduction

 This is designed for students to learn more about themselves and each other. This would be ideal for doing at the beginning of the year. It also gets the students to think about how it feels to be the one that is made fun of and what kind of behavior is appropriate for promoting a healthy class environment. It is really making self-to-text connections without using the terminology yet.  I think this is something they will really enjoy!
