We will be studying the feelings of the character Chrysanthemum and how it feels to be picked on. The students will also develop an understanding of their own name and describe themselves.

Introduction

 Do you like your name? We are going to read the book Chrysanthemum. It's about a little girl who has a very long name. Some of the other kids in her class make fun of her name and it really hurts her feelings. She learns more about her name and you will too!
