Process

  1.  Students will be divided into 4 groups of 4

  2. Each group will receive a different book to proofread.

  3. Take turns reading the book outloud to the other members in your group. What does not sound right?

  1. Now that you have each read your book aloud, begin proofreading.

  2. Look for errors in spelling,punctuation, and words that just don't sound right.

  3. Feel free to write on books your corrections.

  4. Any ideas on how the company could change their story or something that would make it better for other students your age? 

  1.  Now that you have read your book and gathered a list of corrected errors and new ideas,begin thinking of what you would say to the president of this company.

  2. Each group needs to come up with a 5 Minute presentation.

  3. This presentation will include a short introduction on what your book was about,the changes you made, and what as a student you think will make the book better.

  4. Remember the publishing company is counting on us for our help. Your presentation is to be directed at the president of the company.
