You are to write a persuasive paper on one of the following subjects:
School Uniforms: The school principal is considering making school uniforms mandatory and wants your opinion. Write to him and tell him why this is a good or bad idea.
Locker Searches: The school principal thinks random locker searches throughout the school year are a good idea considering all the recent school violence. He is considering having these searches three times a year to ensure that everyone is safe. Write to him and tell him whether you agree or disagree with him and why.
Computers in the Classroom: The school is getting new computers but they have not decided exactly where to put them. Should they put a couple computers in each classroom or create a computer lab. Pick a side and explain why you chose it.
Note: No matter which topic you choose, make sure that you are able to back up the position that you take on your topic with good examples. Ask yourself if your paper would persuade you in that direction.
