Task

  First you must read, read, read! Read a variety of children's books.  By reading you can choose what style of writing you enjoy.  You should pay attention to the types of illustrations, figurative language, morals, etc... you are drawn to.

  Now you should write!  Pick all your favorite elements of children's books.  Write one of your own.  Include vivid imagery, your favorite style of illustrations, make-believe or nonfiction, lots of words to a page or only a few... this is your book, it's all up to you!
