This WebQuest is designed to allow students the opportunity to evaluate children's books, finding what style, figurative language, illustrations, and techniques, they find most effective. They will research these authors and illustrators to help choose a writing style, as well as an illustration style for the children's book they will create.

What worlds do our students escape to when they're obviously not in ours?
If you, much like myself, want answers to these question, allow your students the opportunity to tell you in a fun, personal, and most of all educational way. This WebQuest is designed to empower students to decide what makes a good book, great illustrations, vivid images, fun to read. Then it gives them the chance to use those decisions to create a colorful, language rich, imaginative, answer to those questions we were hoping to figure out.
