Clustering

Clustering is a nonlinear activity that generates ideas, images and feelings around a stimulus word. As students cluster, their thoughts tumble out, enlarging their word bank for writing and often enabling them to see patterns in their ideas. Clustering may be a class or an individual activity.

STEP 1:Using the information you created your graphic organizer with, look over the design for your book.  Ask yourself?

STEP 2:  Create your book

  1. Create your cover page (include an illustration)
  2. Create an internal cover page (include author, illustrator, & date)
  3. Create your story (keep in mind the answers to the questions above and the requirements of the rubric.  You must have a creative title, clear and interesting characters, minimum of 10 pages, illustration on each page that relates to the writing on the page, a clear moral, and good use of figurative language.    http://www.frostfriends.org/figurative.html
  4. Create a work cited page (make sure to include websites you found illustrations on and any author you want to credit for giving you ideas.)
