Teacher Introduction

In this WebQuest, students explore MadLib stories and ultimately create their own, while learning about and practicing using different parts of speech.  First, the students review the different parts of speech and play a game to practice identifying adjectives and adverbs, the two parts of speech that this particular class had not yet looked at in depth.  Next, the students find out what a MadLib is, and complete one online, to practice using different parts of speech and to become familiar with the MadLib format.  Then, each student writes his or her own MadLib to share with the class.  At the end, the students' MadLibs will be compiled into a class book of MadLibs to add to the class library and enjoy with their friends.
