Process

 Step 1: Click on the link: http://users.manchester.edu/Student/DLBungitak/PUNCTUATION%20RULES.htm and read the Rules of Punctuation. Discuss with your team members what you have read.

Step 2: Read the book, "Punctuation Takes a Vacation" as a group.

Step 3: Re-read the book again as a group and make a tally chart of how many times you see a punctuation mark in the story. Use the tally chart I created:

 Step 4: Read the paragraph on the handout your teacher gives you and circle all of the punctuation marks.   file:///F:/EDTC/PunctuationHandout.htm

Step 5: Re-write the paragraph using the correct punctuation marks in the correct place.

 

 Step 6: Each group member will write a letter to a person in another group but write it without any punctuation marks.

Step 7: Switch letters with each other. Correct the letter you receive.
