Students research a topic of their choice and create a book based on a web quest of resources.
Teacher Introduction
In this Web Quest, students will take on the role as author, illustrator and publisher of their own informational book. After being placed in small groups, students must decide on a topic of interest from a provided list, research the topic, record pertinent information about their topic;including details in their writing, as well as design the art and construction of their book.. The topic research, pictures and design ideas must be retrieved from the web. A rubric is provided for each task to allow students to monitor their own progress. This task is designed to last anywhere from 5-10 days depending on how much time is allotted for the students to work.
