What information do you think should go in the book? Which information can you leave out? Please use a pencil.

One person should record this on the map. After this is done, give the map to your partner to edit.

Step Four: Writing the Book

Write 3-4 paragraphs about your flower. Each paragraph should have 4-5 sentences. Include facts about your flower and what you like about it.

Here are some questions you could answer with your writing:

What is the color of your flower? Does it have more than one?

What is the scientific name for your flower?

Where can your flower be found?

How is your flower used? Is it a famous flower? Is it a state flower?

The person who didn't fill in the concept map will write the paragraphs. After this is complete, hand the writings to the other partner for review.
