Task
To begin your task, in your groups of three you must choose which role each group member will play. To be informed while doing this read the tasks for each role listed below:
The Job of the Prosecuter: To be on the side of the character who is the accuser. Research the story and the writing process and write a persuasive statement to go against the actions of the character who apparently committed the crime. |
The Job of the Defender: To be on the side of the character who is accused. Research the story and the writing process and defend his/her actions in a persuasive argument writing style. |
The Job of the Judge: To be fair! Look at the arguments of your two group members, the story, and the information about compromise. Make a creative compromise between the two characters as a judgement. Remember: neither partners' argument is better than the other so the character cannot be considered guilty of the crime or not. Your job is to make the problem better for both characters. You should talk to everyone in their group as they are working to know the arguments they are making. This way you can begin your compromise at the same time they are doing their work. |

You will become that role as your work through this project! As a group you will find the fairy tale you have been assigned and click on the appropriate picture to read that fairy tale. Read the charges that have been made by the fairy tale characters, and then individually work on your own task. REMEMBER: Use the resources provided to do your work!
