Learners
This lesson is appropriate for grade 6 learners of any level. It can also be accomodated for learners of a diverse nature. Here are some suggestions we as the creators have developed:
To help diverse learners in this lesson, teachers should assign heterogeneous groups. In this way, weaker students can learn from stronger students and stronger students can often get a new perspective from the ideas of weaker students. This activity calls for both individual and group work accommodating both types of learners in this area. The websites linked to the webquest range from simple reading to more complicated reading so every student in the group can be challenged at their own level. It is suggested that the teacher should provide individual guidance and assistance to those students the teacher deems in need of further assistance. Finally, the pages containing the specific steps of persuasion and problem solving for brain storming are helpful for students who need help organizing or keeping their attention on a task.
