Students will create a personal budget (at age 22) using Microsoft Excel and the Internet, while comparing possible occupations in order to view the importance and correlation of education to income levels.
Creating a Personal Budget
You will create a personal budget for yourself at the ripe old age of 22. You will use the following three different occupation/salary levels: high school graduate, college graduate, and a dream job of your choice. You will research to find a place to live, a car, go grocery shopping and calculate all expenses for each of these scenarios. You will then be able to see how much money you have left to save or to play with! Once figuring out which jobs/education levels provide the certain type of life you would like to live, you will be able to set goals on how to work towards obtaining that career path. Lastly you will compare similarities and differences with other students and their findings.
