This web quest allows students to learn about local Bay Area American Indian Nations while developing collaboration, research, and organizational skills.

Teacher Introduction

I am a Full-Inclusion General Education Teacher at Castro Elementary School.  I am currently teaching a 3rd/4th grade class.  My students are a diverse group of students, some of which receive services in many areas such as speech, occupational therapy, physical therapy, social groups, and resource.  All students work on their own level but are expected to do their best and extend themselves so that they can make academic growth throughout the school year.

I wanted to give my students an opportunity to learn more about the American Indian nations are that are right in our own backyard.  I wanted them to be introduced to the CA Social Studies Standards but to also develop their technology skills, research skills, presentation skills,  along with teamwork and collaboration.
