Teacher Process

How to get started

1.    As students begin to collaborate and search the internet, watch closely so they don't lean toward ideas that can't take place in the classroom.

2.    Once the groups have decided on their experiment, check to make sure that all materials can be provided, and make sure the you are aware of the amount of days or weeks the experiment could take.

3.    As students begin to talk/write about the steps in the scientific method, make sure they are closely following each step.

4.    Provide materials and help students conduct their experiments if needed.

* The researching, deciding, and procedure writing should only take a couple of days. The actual experiments might take a day or they might take two weeks. This will depend on how much time you want to allow for students to hand in the final paper.
