If you're looking for an exciting way to present the scientific method/control variable experiments to your students, then this could be exactly what you are looking for!
I got this lesson idea from doing something similar in my physical science class in college. I remember when I was a sixth grader, I had trouble comprehending all the steps in the scientific method. Maybe this was true for me and many others because it wasn't explained in more ways than one. I think this would be a great way for students to get a different view of what control variable experiments are all about.
