Task

This task is divided into four parts. The first part is to become familiar with the language and procedures of the American Justice System as it relates to the case we will be trying. The second portion of this task is to research the events surrounding the sinking of the Titanic and the death of Hans Peder Jensen using the resources provided. The third element of this task is the development of questions and answers that will present your case to the Jury. The attorneys and witnesses will use the information gathered in the research phase and "tell" their story in a way that convinces the jurors that their side is the closest to the truth. The last part of this task is the actual trial. It is in this phase that our system of justice plays out. If all participants fulfill their responsibilities, whether they are attorneys, witnesses, or jurors. then we can achieve justice. Please be sure to give your group and classmates the effort that they deserve and enjoy this glimpse into our Justice System.
