Task

Congratulations on receiving the position of museum curator! As museum curator, you will design exhibits for the museum. Your team's first job will be to design an exhibit to display the contributions various groups have made to the culture of the United States. Remember that there are many definitions of culture. For example, culture can involve the ways groups of people act, dress, eat, or think, but remember that those are only a few examples. For this exhibit, you will focus on the contributions made by people who came from Asia, South America (and Central America), Europe, and Africa. Each member of your team will research the contributions of people from one of these continents. After the research, your team will share the information you have collected and design the exhibit.

Each of these groups is made up of people from many different countries and cultures. Don't worry if you can't remember all of the countries on your continent. Your boss (your teacher) will tell you which resources will have information about your group. In the meantime, you can look at these maps to refresh your memory.

Asia
Central and South America
Europe
Africa

Because we cannot pay for the exhibit until your design is approved, we will need a clear model and explanation of your exhibit. This model will include a map of the exhibit, a numbered list of every artifact to be included, and a caption for each artifact.
