This WebQuest was designed for use by students in the fifth grade. The students should have some understanding of the meaning of culture.
The books for the Africa group are at a slightly higher reading level than the other books. Therefore, if you have students in your class who are at a more advanced level in reading, you may wish to encourage them to take on that role. Conversely, if you have students who are struggling readers, you may wish to encourage them to take on one of the other roles. Because one of the books for the Central and South America group is also at slightly more advanced reading level, it would be best to encourage these students to take on either the Europe or the Asia group.
