To discover what life was like in ancient Pompeii before the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius.

Teacher Introduction

 Mt. Vesuvius may have destroyed ancient Pompeii, but it also gives us a unique look at a Roman town.  In this WebQuest students assume the role of either a wealthy Roman, an artist, or a plebian/worker.  Though the write task is to have the students examine ancient Roman life, the unwrite goal is to have the students realize that life was not all that different then.
